Outside of work, I build software and physical systems for curiosity, necessity, and fun. Some are polished; some are proofs of concept. The common thread: if a system has rules, it can be modeled.

Interactive 3D celestial sphere powered by pure-Elixir ephemeris computation. Phoenix streams topocentric sky positions into a React/WebGL scene, with live BEAM telemetry visible in the demo.

Converted a Dodge ProMaster into a tiny rolling Class B RV and lived in it for a year and a half. Framing, cabinetry, bed platform, insulation, finish work, and the systems thinking needed to make a small space actually work.

Built a 24V lithium solar power system from recycled laptop 18650 cells for the van conversion. ElectroDacus BMS, pure sine inverter, solar charging, and enough stored power to live off-grid for long stretches.

A structural engineer identified the southeast corner of a 1915 pier-and-beam house in Taylor, TX as "imminent collapse"; the structure had been modified five or six times over 100+ years. No contractor would take the job. Figured out how to shore up the entire structure so the critical corner column could be replaced.

Full pier-and-beam leveling of a 1915 Taylor, TX house. Jacks, beams, laser levels, joist sistering, weeks in the crawlspace, and a custom rail system designed with early GPT-4 help turned a crew-sized job into a careful, inspected success.

NetBSD Agent Platform (Raspberry Pi 5)

Raspberry Pi 5 in an Argon ONE V5 case running NetBSD. The experiment reached boot and SSH, then paused after the talk path closed; the core idea was BEAM/OTP agents coordinating local inference on small, repurposable hardware.
